Package Overview

Since the end of the nineteenth century, Egypt has been evolving at a very high speed. Its political, economical and cultural life has undergone striking changes. From the inscription of the first hieroglyph to the construction of the new hi-tech Smart Village, Egypt has always been a pioneer on the frontier for emerging information technologies in the Arab world.

Inclusions:

- 04 nights accommodation on board Nile Cruise on full board basis including all sightseeing tours as indicated on above. Guidance on board cruise joining the group.
- Full day tour Cairo visit: Pyramids, Sphinx, Egyptian Museum.

Itinerary:
Day 01

Arrive to Luxor International Airport where you will be met and assisted through immigration and customs and transferred to board your Nile Cruise. Visit Karnak and Luxor temples, a centuries old city of Pylons, Hypostyle halls, colossal statues, Shrines and Obelisks. Continue to visit the West Bank necropolis including Valley of Kings, Funerary temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir El Bahari and the Colossi of Memnon. Overnight in Luxor.

Day 02

Early morning sailing to Edfu via Esna enjoying the wonderful scenery and picturesque rural sights by the banks of the river Nile. Overnight in Edfu.

Day 03

Travel by horse drawn carriages to the temple of Horus, the Falcon god in Edfu. This temple is considered the best preserved ancient temple and the second largest after the temple of Karnak. Sail to Kom Ombo where you will visit the Ptolemaic temple of Sobek and Haroeris. Sail to Aswan and Overnight.

Day 04

Visit the Aswan High Dam, the Granite Quarries with Unfinished Obelisk and the temple of Philae, sail on board a felucca, a typical Egyptian sailboat and view Kitchener’s botanical garden and Agha Khan Mausoleum. Overnight in Aswan.

Day 05

After breakfast, disembark. Optional trip to Abu Simbel by Car. Transfer to railway station to board your sleeper train to Cairo, Dinner and overnight on board sleeper train.

Day 06

Breakfast on board sleeper train. Meet and assist by our representative upon arrival to Cairo. Drop luggage at hotel and proceed to visit the Pyramids and Sphinx of Giza which have stood for the last 5000 years. Continue to visit the Egyptian museum of Antiquities which includes the world’s largest collection of Pharonic artifacts and the treasures of Tutankhamen’s tomb. Overnight in Cairo.

Day 07

After breakfast enjoy your free day at leisure or you may opt for an optional Overday to Alexandria where you will visit the Catacombs of Kom El Shugafa, Pompey’s Pillar, Montazah Gardens, Roman Amphitheatre and Qaitbay fortress. Overnight in Cairo.

Day 08

After breakfast transfer to Cairo International Airport for your departure flight.
